  • info on crank needed

Reading some other threads got me wondering about the spare crank wrapped up in the corner of the garage. I found the casting # is 15564444 Just curious what its for and how 'desirable' it may be.
    Thanks

It is very desirable. It depends on if it is new old stock , still in its box. Or it is an crank that you have no info. Does it need to be turned? Is it wrapped? Condition matters. If it is NoS , I would like to have it. Name your price. email me at royvaldez@wildblue.net When I say name your price, within reason.

You have an extra "4' there! It's a CASTING Number 1556444, 1556929 Part Number, late '62-'64 289 Crank, worth what it's condition dictates. Perfect new (NOS), just under $400.00

Can you help me out here? Where do you find casting numbers vs part numbers. I have no problem finding part numbers in the Chassis Parts Catalog but where do you find casting numbers?

Well the machinist says it is still right there with original spec's... give or take the graphite grease thats on all the journals. It may need a little polishing to look new since only the journals were covered with graphite but isn't that half the fun?
