Twin traction Dana 44 Rear end for sale....

    Hey guys,
I have a rearend for sale with the following ID info: Ring gear # 6-15-62 Dana 18426 a3d50 43-13. Backplate to back plate-49" WMS-to-WMS-58.5" Bolt patt (approx) 5 on 4.5" Also has two US Pat #'s.
When I popped to cover it looked outstanding inside. It didn't have clutch springs in the carrier (like 12 bolt chevy posi's), but both wheels turn in the same direction when either wheel is turned. I wanted to give the folks on SDC a shot at it first, before posting on ebay. I'll post pictures of the rear on my Webshot page probably tonight. Let me know if your interested. Jimmy Pictures of rear now on my website under xtra parts:

Well I don't need another twin traction Dana 44, but how much are you asking? The #6-15-62 on the ring gear means it was manufactured on June 15 of 1962. And 43-13 means it is a 3.31:1 ratio. You probably already knew this, but just thought in case others were interested.

Along with a price, it probably wouldn't hurt to have you tell us where you/the rear end are located .

Sorry, I'm located in Jacksonville NC (home of Camp Lejeune), about 45mi noth of Willmington NC. I honestly don't know what it's worth, I haven't researched it yet...but whatever is a fair price. As I said before the inside looks quite good. Jimmy
