Well, I don't see any skid marks to go along with that chain, so it must have rolled out!

Nice find. I like those long Commander fenders, even on the late '50s.
Makes me wonder what happened to Harry Crosson's '50 Land Cruiser in Pennsylvania.

Great Find and Good Luck with it. I think a picture of it all cleaned up in front of Jenny's Diner in Ronks would be good enough for a TW entry. btw, food at Jenny's is good n plenty and affordable. btdt...

Me, too, Gary. I like a '50 Commander or Land Cruiser, for looks, much better than a '51 for that very reason, even though you could get a V8 in the '51.

You can still find barn finds like that! Amazing. Clean it up and drive that baby.

That's cool. I have a pair of those stainless rear fender protectors like yours. Will they fit a '50?

I've never seen fender guards like those on anything other than the '52 models. There are many people on here who are a thousand times more intelligent than I am about such things. I like all of the Studebaker fender guards over the years. My 64 is being put back together at the body shop as I write. I have a buffed up pair of the little chrome strips that stand in memory of the old fender guards ready to go on it.
