    Studebaker tie rod ends?

Anyone know what the taper is on a Stude tie rod end? I made the mistake of flipping through a Speedway Motors catalog and they can make custom all-stainless tie rods, including the ends, using "Ford style" 7 degree tapered tie rod ends. Now I seem to recall that an old Ford truck used tie rod ends very similar to a Stude, yes?

Please tell me this won't work just so I'm not tempted to spend more money on shiny stuff.

Now every time I go to a show, I'm gonna have to look under the greasy front ends of all the Studes, just to see if anyone has stainless tie rod ends.

well hey, I already have a chrome bellcrank (seriously! I don't know where JP found it) so it is sorta tempting to just go nuts. I got some shiny castle nuts from our very own Jerry F. too.

The stupid thing is, since I had to rebuild about 50% of my front end I had to take it all apart, so all my tie rod ends, sleeves, etc. have been cleaned and painted and had new boots installed...
