  • Champion distributor

We have a local club member who has a '56 Champion that needs a new distributor. I have one on a junk '52 2R10 pickup. I realize his engine is 185 CID and 12 volt, but is the distributor the same? Being at work I do not have access to my parts books and hope to be able to give him an answer.

I am at work too,but I think he would be safe with any of the Champion type distributors. I stuck a distributor from a 47 M series pickup in a Lark and it seemed fine. The only differences I could see were minor. He should lay them side by side to compare them, but the change to the 185 block was at the top and should not have disturbed the distributor.

The Distributor shafts might have different lengths, but the shafts can be changed.
