Showroom Banners - what was the first and what was the last?

Richard Quinn currently has a 1947 Banner shown below for sale on E-bay. I've never seen a Banner from that time period and it got me to wondering when Studebaker started using banners for their autos. I have some 1938 literature that shows banners that the dealer could order so they were readily available at least by 1938.
Was the last Banner Studebaker the Bonneville Record Banner? I don't recall any 1965 or 1966 banners but perhaps Stu Chapman has a closet full of 1966 banners that never got used.

The last year for the silk type banners was 1963. In 64 they used a heavy paper type. Therewere 5 different, see images below. I am not aware of anything that would be termed a "banner" in 1965-66. As for the first I am not sure, believe 1937.

I have those in the original shipping box along with ceiling danglers etc. Just didn't think they qualified as banners, but maybe so.

You are right they technically aren't banners. Perhaps dealer promotional material is a better description.

I don't know about earlier banners, but here is a pic of one of the 3 cloth banners that were available in 1938. They also had paper that were similar.
