Can anyone explain how it works? Does it cover monthly chapter events?

Not positive Lou, but I believe any "official" chapter meeting or activity is covered by the clubs insurance. Non "official" meetings /activities are not covered by the SDC, such activities like Intl. Drive your Studebaker day, swap meets, car shows. If I'm wrong somebody please correct me. Bill

Don't worry! My company's 'Out Of Country' medical benefits will cover that.....as long as its not classed as 'Terrorism'; one more they added to the list of exemptions a few years ago of which they WON'T cover!!

SDC insurance also covers chapter editors and their chapter newsletter publications, should they get in legal hot water.

The swap meets and shows that are sponsored by SDC chapters ARE covered. This applied to York, South Bend, Reedsville and any other OFFICIALLY sponsored.
Reedsville is now soliciting a new sponsor, as the Manhattan Chapter has dropped it. Without an SDC sponsor there can still be a meet, but it would have to contract for private insurance coverage.

The chapter should notify Jane on upcoming events, in addition to Susan Lusted for Turning Wheels. We have been holding an annual event for 30 years and in addition, our Tourmaster/VP informs Jane for upcoming gatherings.
