    Mecum Kissimmee '64 R2 Avanti

Mecum had a '64 R2 Avanti that was up for auction at Kissimmee. The ad now says it is sold.

Anyway, it looked like a nice car and I was trying to follow it to see what the sale price was . . . but haven't found it anywhere.

Just wondering if anyone happened to know the sale price?

If the one your`re asking about was the red one, it belonged to a friend of mine and sold for $38,000. It was a really nice car.

The car was not that sharp, the engine area was tough looking, the interior left a lot to be desired had a sticker for mecum transport to go to l. A. Calf. Glad it sold that good

The car was listed as a '64 but the serial # was R 4441. With early parking lights , clock and sill plates I'd call it a '63. It was a pretty car and attracted a lot of attention from spectators. I thought the sticker showed it going to MA.
