Getting close to finishing my truck... waiting on the seat / floor mat and finishing up on a couple miscellaneous items.

        Gorgeous; just gorgeous. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Wow - that is something else... How much did the 4 WD add to the price of those pick-ups?

I don't know the cost. There were 155 1959 4WD trucks built. This says that this pickup is a 4E2D. There were only two of those built for 1959, one in each bed length. Is this truck one of those or was it converted into a 4WD?

There were only 95 4ED 4X4 ‘built’ in 1959. In addition to that number there were 65 4ED built in the 1960’s. This truck is the only (1 of 1) 4E2D 122 built by Studebaker.

Thanks for all the nice comments!!

Superb!! She is truly one terrific unique truck, and she's a Studebaker!
                  Congratulations on the final outcome.

If interested, there is a small piece by Fred Fox in the July 2005 TW page 14 featuring this truck.

Those 65 were assembled early in 1960, but they were considered to be 1959 models.

Thanks for bringing back this one of one truck.

Awesome truck, and restoration. I learned in Sunday school, that it is bad to 'covet' , but it would sure look nice in my garage!
Tom Senecal Not enough money or years to build all of the Studebakers that I think I can.

Just a little fun trivia. The first Navy truck left the assembly line on 4-25-1960 the next 25 were delivered in May and the last 39 in June 1960.
