With regrets I wish to announce the passing on December 4th 2018 of Reg Hillary in Cambridge Ontario.
Reg and his co-driver Jack Young won the 1961 Trans Canada Rally driving the factory Studebaker Lark V8 over 4,100 miles across Canada in a 7 day competition. In business life Reg had been an aerospace engineer.
In 2012 the Ontario Chapter of SDC honored Reg on the Studebaker of Canada plaque in the Studebaker National Museum.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday December 12th 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street North in Cambridge ON, following visitation at 12 noon. Reg will be long remembered by his many friends in SDC.
