NEW MEMBER IN THE FORUM, from Trujillo city in Peru (South America)

    HELLO
It is a pleasure that you have accepted my incorporation.

My name is Francisco, I'm from Trujillo city in Peru (South America).
I always wanted to have an old pickup, I searched a lot and found different brands:
Chevrolet,International; Ford, GMC, Dodge and a good day I find this wonder, it was love at first sight. Last week I made the transaction, I traveled 565 km to meet her, now she is with me and I will treat her like a queen.
I am referring to an M5 C2 from 1946, it has almost all original and I plan to adapt it to my liking (maybe change the color).
I share with you Photos, I hope you like it.

I'm 53, I've been married for 21 years, I've always been faithful to my wife.
But I think I could not resist anymore, and I think now I have a lover with wheels, I hope this does not destroy my marriage.

My nick in the forum is in honor of the body of this beauty, I hope 72 years to be with its real owner: M5C216169.

    regards

    Francisco

It looks like you got a solid truck to start with. Have fun and take your wife for some rides.

Welcome to the forum. Cool truck, can't be too many M5 trucks in Peru...I think I saw one in a yard full of vehicles climbing the hill out of the city of Puno. I didn't get a photo of it because I was sitting on the top deck of a Cruz del Sur, but I'm sure it was an M5 because what other trucks from that era have such a steeply raked windshield? Enjoy driving yours! cheers, junior.

Francisco, I can see why you fell it love with this truck. She is a beauty. I have always loved the vertical grill Studebaker trucks. They are a classic. All the best with your new love and I hope you keep your marriage together. Surely she will fall in love with this truck as well. Thanks for sharing the photos and welcome to the wonderful world of Studebakers.

    Thanks Junior,
Indeed I have not seen another M5 in Peru, perhaps in towns in the interior of the country, such as Puno, there may be some hidden, I hope to find more studebaker fans, here in my country.

    Thanks for your words Eddy.
I think my marriage lasted a long time for this beauty to separate us.
As you say, she will have to give in and accompany me in the hobby.

Welcome Francisco to what we feel is the best automotive related forum in the world. Your pictures show what a stunning find you have obtained. Put the Mrs. in the passenger seat and both of you drive it and enjoy it. She's a real beauty (both your wife and the M5). I Google mapped you and am interested in your unique country and of course your new contributions to our Studebaker world. Try to include some country shots with your M5 so we can envision your life too.
Cheers and luck with your M5 (hopefully to be named soon).

    Hello Bill.
Thank you very much for your beautiful and encouraging words.
Very soon I will be showing photos in some locations with the truck and
I hope my wife accompanies me in this venture.
Good thing you may have known my country (through google).
I told you that last year I was in Montreal and Toronto, let me tell you that your country is spectacular. Although I went for work I could know a lot.
I really liked the Niagara Falls in Toronto and the basilica of Notre-Dame in Montreal. (I send a couple of photos).
    Greetings
    Francisco

Great Francisco that you enjoyed the Niagara "wet" experience as Sonja & I did a couple of years ago. It truly is a small world. Keep the pics coming!
    Cheers, Bill
