    Perry, Ga. Swap Meet

A cold day at an automotive swap meet is better than any day at home. I know some of you don't consider 40F degrees cold, but it is in Georgia.
No leaves to rake, no doors to paint, no drive ways to blow off. All that can wait. Swap meets are more important.
Last weekend (3 days) Lineville (no pix), this weekend (3 days) Perry, next weekend Moultrie (4 days), thanksgiving weekend (5-6 days), Daytona Beach.
    November is a busy month.

You are dressed like it is zero degrees, not 40 degrees and sunshine. Today, it was in the 30s here with about a 25 mph wind and some snow flurries in the air, so I put an unlined windbreaker on (and I am older than you). I guess that it is true about people adjusting to their climate after a while.

    Exactly!

To short, my arse. Why is 7 letters and an exclamation point to (or is it 'too' I get confused) few letters to post?

Hey Jerry, my son in Wisconsin sent a picture of his driveway this morning. About 2" of snow! Here it was about 80 degrees today. I don't think I could live back in Wisconsin anymore. Enjoy the meets!! Bill

Ten characters required, even if they are just a period.

    ..Exactly! would have worked.

I don't think some people appreciate how much Gulf moisture increases the misery of a wind. I have been much more uncomfortable in Arkansas winter weather than I was in South Dakota. 40 degrees and windy would be miserable if you were not active.

We here in Thousand Oaks have had all the HEAT we can stand - whether from fires or gun fire.

Understandable. Know that you and other folks from Thousand Oaks are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you very much. We were double fortunate. My 24 year old daughter frequented the Bordeline with her friends. But she prefers to go when the older people are there (she's going to enjoy a night out with her girlfriends, not to find her future husband) and wasn't there on college night.

As to the fires I'm right in the middle of the city. The fires burned on the east and west ends going southward essentially away from us. To that end even though the fire came within 8 blocks of my home we never smelled smoke except for Saturday when the winds died down.
Others were far less fortunate. BTW, they are blowing strongly - again.
