    Super Lark Performance Fan Shroud

Did the Super Larks have fan shrouds?

What exit diameter for best fan clearance? 17.5 or 18"?

Would an angle down exit be required since the engine tilts back 4-6 degrees? Any off set of the exit required since the engine isn't centered? How much?

Any salvage yard shrouds fit possible? thanks

1550705 Shroud is listed in the current Studebaker International Catalog, page 195. Not necessarily a “Super Lark” Shroud - typically used on air conditioned cars. 1550705 fits ‘61 - ‘64 V-8 Lark types. I have sold a few over the years to my parts customers.

Yup, shallow and boxy, but that's what you want!

My '64 Cruiser R1 has a stamped-steel fan shroud that I believe is unique to R-powered '63-64 Larks-types. (Someone with a parts catalog please look it up.) At one time Dave Thibeault had some copies of these made up (copying an original). He may still have them.

What is the difference between the 6 cyl fan shroud and the V8 fan shroud in the Studebaker International catalog?

On a six cylinder Shroud the fan opening is slightly offset to one side.
Once, one of my customers got his hands on a Lark fan Shroud. He even had it powder coated first. Then, when he tried to install it on his V-8 Lark, it would not fit. I sold him a new 1550705 Shroud from my stock, and offered him a very token trade in on his 6 cylinder Shroud, due to limited demand. I did sell it to someone with a ‘62 6 cylinder.
