  • Paxton Air cleaner... What is it? R3? anybody actually know.

Ive been searching and I cant find any pictures on google or here on the forum that are descriptive of Paxton air cleaners.
Other than the 3 R2 styles Lark, Hawk, Avanti.
I'm trying to figure out what the application of this chrome Obviously Paxton air filter canister is?
As can be seen in the pictures it is larger diameter than the Lark R2 canister but takes the same filters inside.

It's Paxton Aftermarket for the Mustang kits. Not Studebaker at all. Circa 1967-68

It's one of two different air filters Paxton/McCulloch included with their kits in the '50's &'60's. It's pictured in their '56 catalog with the kit for '56 Golden Hawks, so it goes back at least that far.

Great thank you for responding, I didn't think it was Studebaker. I knew somebody would have an idea.
          Thanks again
