I'd go with the side grill surounds chrome, and the fin inset to match the wheels.

Yes, the surrounds will indeed be chrome... We're trying to decide what color to paint the sheet-metal inserts behind them. The fins will remain Grey (I think). Love to hear the opinions!

Oh, ok. Then the tin the same dark grey as the body. I'd still go with a colored fin inset, too much grey otherwise.

I like the original white with red. Here's a picture of a 57 Golden Hawk that was at our club's 50th anniversary party today.

Al WAS holding the Landcruiser for you but when you didn’t exercise your option, it became available. I remember talking to you then as you were trying to figure out how to get both cars. You’re doing well with the Hawk. I’m in the process of getting the Landcruiser back to stock.......correct engine bay colors and returning to 6V. I’m also installing a complete new wiring harness. I plan on doing a Turner disc brake upgrade also.

Actually I don’t believe that’s correct as Al told me when I arrived at his place to pick up the Hawk, that he had just sold the Land Cruiser. I knew he had it, but he didn’t tell me it was for sale or Ida... anyway, it’s all OK because I bought this ‘50 Land Cruiser last spring

We’ve been working hard on reassembling “Dash” the past few weeks and we’re getting pretty far along. Here’s a picture of me and my friend Fernie working on installing the windshield.Almost all the glass is back in, almost all the chrome, almost all the interior... still gotta wire it up and put in the back window, etc. but not much longer and he’ll be gettin’ his kicks and pickin’ up chicks! (Well, one in particular...)
