Very sorry to hear this. I counted George as a friend. I always visited with him when we were at an International Meet. I was able to visit him at his home in TN once. Had a great time talking watches and toy Studebakers.

I have a good George story. He told me that he used to wrestle and he wrestled against To Jo yatamoto in his younger days. I had heard of to jo and just thought it was so cool. I was lucky enough to hear many of his stories and will miss him. He was a very personable man and was a real historian.Comment

George was the man to go to when you wanted a South Bend or Studebaker watch fixed right. I've several watched he's done for me, and they never had to go back...
