No, but I could make something up! And to answer Gary's question I do not believe there was any connection between the South Bend Studebakers and the tire company. However they all considered themselves "cousins" and still do.

    Firestone Delux Champion.

Original spare? Firestone Delux champion. All my tires are being replaced hopefully this week with 15" 225-70 Radials with 34mm white stripe.

What size is that tire? Original spare for what car. In your original post the wheelcover indicates perhaps a 1961, but the wheel color doesn't indicate 1961. What car are you asking if this is the original spare for?

EDIT: That does not appear to be an original valve stem, but that may have been changed without changing the tire.

BP showed us a photo of the Canadian version of that U.S. Royal tire here: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...light=dominion when it still used 'Dominion' Tire & Rubber. In 1967, all individual brands were merged and became Uniroyal.

That Firestone Deluxe Champion is likely a 1970's replacement, the Whitewall looks to me like it is too narrow for an original '63 or '64 like the Wheel and narrow W/W indicates, as narrow W/W Tires were not used prior to 1963 and the wheel color started in 1962.

I was tempted to go take a photo of the tyres on my '58 Miley. However it's a horse trailer and though the tyres are most likely original, they wouldn't count. However they're Dunlop 5-rib Hi-way specials!

Just got 5 new tires fitted! Figured I might as well replace the spare while I was at it... I got Vitour Galaxy 15-225-70 34mm white walls. I think it looks much sweeter + it feels much nicer on the road! Not the best quality tires in the world, but not to pricy either

That's a nice looking car, and the wider whites look perfect on it.
