    Nesting Falcon

I've seen many remarkable nature photographs over the years but this photo of a nesting Falcon in an old tree is perhaps the most remarkable nature shot that I've ever seen.

Please send this to your older friends, since the younger ones probably have never seen a falcon, and wouldn't recognize it.

Well Bill, you are telling the truth, but being a birder I thought it to be something else. Had a good laugh. Bill

The photo tells the story. Australia. A RHD Falcon in a Coolibah tree. The Falcon must have expired in the early seventies over a seedling.

I first saw this picture on the Internet about 10 years ago. It is in Australia. Apparently a farmer put it up in the tree in 1985.

On Highway 18 heading to the coast from Portland there is an old Studebaker in a tree similar to this. The next time I drive out that way I will take a photo of it. Maybe we can get a collection of these going on the Forum.
