    Carpet

    Hi all,

Anyone know who supplies the best fitting carpet for a 63 Hawk? As you can see mine has a little to much patina

    Best regards,

There are several OK ones, but I prefer Automotive Interiors in Springfield, Mass.

They will need all the Details of your Car that only you know:

    Buckets Seats with Console
    Automatic Floor Shift (Powershift)?
    Manual Floor Shift (4 Speed)?
    Automatic Column shift?
Manual Column shift (3 Speed or 3 speed Overdrive)?

Original Loop type or Custom cut pile?
It is best to always get samples of the material and Colors as Pictures never look like the real thing.

Years ago, I bought a carpet set from Southeast Studebaker for my 64 GT Hawk. The price was a little more than other vendors but the fit and quality were first class.

Had good luck with SE Studebaker. Last one was just a tad too narrow so I plan to ask Rene to make the front about 2" wider next time

Got my Automotive Interiors '64 Daytona HT with Buckets and Floor Shift (Powershift), Carpet Set.
Very happy with the Quality of the 80/20% Premium, special order Color, loop pile Carpet for only $330.00 + $46.93 shipping.
Power Shift Cover and Hardtop "B" Pillar/floor reinforcement covers, Heal Pad, Dimmer switch Grommet etc included.

They seem to be the only non-Studebaker (SDC) connected Carpet Mfg. that "has it together" when it comes to Studebakers.
Le Barron Bonney would not even talk about Studebaker carpets.

Automotive Interiors is who John Poulos used to get all of his carpet sets and seat covers from. I think John is probably to thank for them having so much available for Studebakers.

I've used Rene's carpet in a '57 Broadmoor and Automotive Interior's carpet in a '55 Conestoga. Rene's was made from higher quality material. I was very happy with both, it's all a matter of what you want and what the budget will allow.

I had good luck with Kanter, a nice product and it came faster than I expected.
