Just take it easy and use a lot of tape when putting trim against that new paint. Ream the paint built up in holes before forcing bolts or clips. Don't hesitate to walk away for awhile and regroup if it's not wanting to co-operate with you. I fought a 57 T-Bird front bumper for about a half a day, took a 30 minute Harley ride and came back and put the bumper on in about 15 minutes.
