  • Interior: 1955 Coupe front seat

On a 55 coupe isn't the wide back of seat the driver side and the narrow side the passenger side?

    Thanks.

I wasn't sure, so I just looked at the front seat in my '53 Commander hardtop; the wide back is the PASSENGER side. My '56 Golden Hawk is divided evenly, so I'm guessing '55 was the last year of 1/3, 2/3.

'56 Golden Hawk (3 speed/overdrive, Power steering - Running, but not yet driving)
'58 Packard Hawk. A partially restored car that was not completely assembled.

Nope. The narrow back is on the drivers side.

My 55 President 2 Dr Hardtop has equally split backs on the seat.
