  • Ace Paint Job

Got tired of the old rusty flat blue look.....so, I got a few cans of safety green paint from Ace.....and a roll of tape.

Now....what color for the rims? Black? Silver? something else??

I will have these rims professionally disassembled and inspected before getting new tires. So, I need to pick a color. Click image for larger version

I painted my Ford 9N tractor with rattle can gray paint; it looked pretty good, as does your truck!

I vote silver for the truck's wheels. Your paint job really looks good.

Dark Green Wheels would be my choice for that Truck, to blend well with the bright, light Green.
It would look better without those Black Stripes as well, nice job doing them though.

The black in the picture is hard to see because of the shadow, but it looks the most "normal". I like the dark green idea best.

I am a fan of complimentary contrasting colors. Seems like the factory marketing department was too...like this advertisement. If you are not shooting for a high-dollar show paint job, choose paints/colors (as you have already) that are utilitarian and have been around for years. That way, when the paint gets scratched, fades or fails, you can simply go back to the store and purchase more to refresh.

Cool pics. I like the green stock add above. Green with silver lips. And paint the grill portions silver for some pop. A few more bucks at Ace. Love it!

I like two tone wheels too. Wheel color of choice with silver ring.

I’ve seen a lot of the Studie trucks that also have red wheels. Dark red would really look cool with the safety green color.
If the rims are split rims, then paint the ring part silver. Nice truck.
