    57 Hawk engine rebuild

Here's some before and after pics of the engine I just finished building for my 57' Golden Hawk, .080 over, ported heads and intake, improved supercharger impeller, r2+ cam 9.0 to 1 with 1/2 dish pistons.20150913_212756.jpg IMG_20180508_174834.jpgIMG_20170106_160644.jpgIMG_20180503_194414.jpgIMG_20170109_191252.jpgIMG_20180419_033906.jpgIMG_20180216_191432.jpgIMG_20180410_134152.jpgIMG_20180428_001109.jpgIMG_20180430_183516.jpg

Great attention to detail. It will be a shame to close the hood on that work of art.

Look at it this way, you get to open up the hood whenever you feel like and bask in the glory of the pinnacle of Studebaker power! If that isn't a bright spot in someone's (especially on this forum) day, then he needs his head examined!
Jake Kaywell: Shoo-wops and doo-wops galore to the background of some fine Studes. I'm eager and ready to go!

Very nice! I'm rebuilding a '52 Champion 6, and I love getting parts back from the machinist.....so clean and shiny!

Do you happen to have any past owner history on this car? My grandfather restored a 57 Hawk and I have been trying to track it down since he passed last year.

Very nice, indeed. Better than new. One might almost want to leave the heads of to enjoy the shiny precision of it all.
