    I've seen this Craigslist truck.

Just in case someone was looking at this truck, I can tell a little about it. https://littlerock.craigslist.org/ct...588445467.html A year or so ago this truck was advertised for $6200.00. Joe and I went to see it and it is a very nice truck. The ad he is running is the same one he had before, but with the price lower. The pictures look the same. The truck was being prepared to paint by the previous owner when he was unable to continue. We did tell the seller about a small amount of rust in the driver's side rocker, but that was all we found. the truck is missing the window regulators and the parts truck is supposed to have some.
Unless he has changed it since we were there, he had a 12 volt battery in the 6 volt truck connected negative ground. He said he had driven it around his neighborhood a little, but we could not get the engine to run.
Overall it is in excellent shape for its age and is almost as rust free as the truck I ended up with. He was firm on the price when we talked and said he had a buyer coming to look from Texas. I thought the truck was gone until today.

I'd say it's worth that if it's a V8 and the body is straight.
Anybody price paint these days? Just WOW!

Obviously you didn't look at the ad. The truck has a stock Champion engine.

Very tempting. Regarding paint...you can get a $100 paint job...but it will cost about $800 to $1500.

It would be a good buy for anyone with the money. By the time a serious builder made something out of the piles you see for lesser amounts, it would look cheap. But....some people have more time than money.
A friend of ours sold his truck less engine for $5,000 several years ago to a hot rodder who built a high end truck from it. At the time it was shocking, but no so much now.

I'm surprised a rodder hasn't jumped on this by now.....
