Folks, I'm late to the question, but a while back someone was asking the weight of the 53-55 coupes I believe. Mine is a 55 coupe, (see below) but I am afraid to call it a post because of Bob Palma, ha ! Well, I finally got off my ...uh...computer chair and looked at my paper from the DOT approved scales. 3440 lbs, and I had the spare, jack and parts, and all other trunk junk out. I had about 1/4 tank of gas in it. Mine is a V-8, 4 barrel, with the D&G 250M automatic and power steering. The factory radio ( lots of lbs ?? ) is still in it, but I also have aluminum wheels, radial tires, and dual exhaust with what looks like the welded Flowmaster mufflers. Guess that's all the differences from pure stock that might change the weight a few pounds. Thanks, and sorry to be late. ( couldn't find the other post either. )

I forgot one other change, it has an alternator on it which is probably a few pounds lighter than the generator was. I was actually surprised at the weight, I thought that automatic and all the power steering stuff would make it around 3600. Thanks guys !
