Safeguy, look on the underside of your cardboard glove box liner. There should be a paper tag stating the color of your car.

Tim, I will do so when the car gets here. I'm finishing up my garage, making her a nice new home. I just bought my house. lol If I find it, I'll post a picture.

Congratulations and welcome, safeguy! It is very likely that you just joined one of the best car clubs known to man! That is a lovely '52 Champion and it is nice to see the sedans get a bit more appreciated. That being said you will want to get the original manuals for the car. Study and scrutinize them, and the headaches will (hopefully) be reduced to a minimum. If a 17 year old like me can do it with his '62 GT Hawk then you can to!

P.S. - Have you given your car a nickname yet? I think it needs one.
Jake Robinson Kaywell: Shoo-wops and doo-wops galore to the background of some fine Studes. I'm eager and ready to go!

1962 GT Hawk - "Daisy-Mae" - she came dressed to kill in etherial green with a charming turquoise inside. I'm hopelessly in love!

Very pretty car, I think that color is ideal for the year.
                        I bet it rides great.
                        52's forever!

I remember discussing this car some time back. It is distinctive because of the windshield posts being painted the same color as the top. It looks like a very nice car.

I think it's a very cool car, but I must admit to knowing little about Studebakers. Should the A pillar be body color, rather than the same color as the top...I think it might look better that way...kind of like a convertible.

A couple questions. What weight oil does this car take? Do you know where I can find information like that? I joined the SDC but have not been able to find info like that yet. Also, I was thinking a changing the distributor for a Pertronix unit for reliability and practicality...I do not plan on driving this car too much.

I haven't see a 6 volt battery since my dad's first car...a VW beetle! Do you know the best 6 volt battery money can buy?
