  • Interior: Head Liner

    What is the correct headliner material for a 62 Hawk GT. My car has a black nagriahide type material is this correct The interior is light saddle he car was originally brown.

    It should be interesting to see what Fred K. Fox will say further about 1962 GT Hawks in his upcoming article in the March issue of "Turning Wheels" but the April 1989 article said that "metal 'top bows' and a white perforated headliner added a final touch of class." I have to guess that all interiors had white perforated headliners. Several of our SDC vendors have them.

    We're not that far apart, maybe we could "compare notes" someday.

      All the 62 Hawks I remember had the white perforated material.

        All 62's had a white headliner with chrome bows covering the seams. They are available at SI. and on line or do as I did and have someone local make you one using what you have as a pattern.

          Got mine from Rene Harger (SE Stude) and it was correct and it fit well.

            My original '62 GT headliner. Every '62-'64 GT I've seen had the same headliner.
