In 1965-6 I met a fellow named Ethan Allen Turner who owned a red '63 R-2 Avanti. He used to have the car serviced at a gas station on the border of Valley Stream and Lynbrook NY (Crown Gas) owned by a fellow named Armand.
Even though Ethan was a bit older than I was we had the love of the Avanti in common and we both would check out Avantis for sale on Long Island.
After college I lost touch with Ethan but found he moved to Pa.......we wrote to each other several times.......and again time slipped away.
I found an obit for Ethan Allen Turner born 1947 in Georgia, and passed away there.
Does anyone on this forum know of Ethan and his collection of exotic cars and his love for the Avanti??
