Unhappy Don't get your hopes up.

Just lately, Publisher's Clearing House has been pushing their big sweepstakes. I gave up on them many decades ago, but yesterday I looked at the paperwork that came to our house. Most people don't pay any attention to the odds, but they are unreal. 1 in 2,400,000,000 (two billion, four hundred million) for the $5,000.00 a week forever. Yeah, right!
I remember a 60 Minutes story on them years ago that explained that the "winners" you see in the ads are all people that win the much smaller prizes. I am not sure they have ever had anyone win one of the astronomical sums.

Those odds seem very much in favor of the publishers Clearing house having to never pay out the" big" prize. I'd bet one out of 100 will buy something from the offerings, though. It seems a win win for the Clearing house.

The trick to this scam is that the person has to have the correct number. The company does not promise that the huge prize will be given. You may be the winner.......
