My Jaguar in a Studebaker Forum - right

    IMG_6108.jpg

This is my recent picked up car : a 56 Jaguar XK 140 DHC (drop head coupe).

I just found out that Raymond Loewy in 1955 also designed a car based on a Jaguar XK 140 :

Someone might be interested in this connection, here is the story : http://www.carstyling.ru/de/entry/Jaguar_XK140_1955_Raymond_Loewy/

I don't think Raymond improved the looks of the Jag XK140.

I love a xk 120. Loewy's version is the least good looking thing his studio ever did, though it has good general lines the hood is just wrong!

"I don't think Raymond improved the looks of the Jag XK140."

Alas, he hardly EVER seemed to have improved an existing car.
Thinking here of that late '50's Caddy that was for sale a few years ago, and some others.

His automobile work (and yes, I know this was largely Bourke et al, and the Palm Springs Avanti team) for Studebaker may have been his best?
