    Took note

There is a jillion things that people have said that are interesting but maybe not well known. Abe Lincoln, Ben Franklin and Anonymous authored quite a few. Some may not be words to live by, possibly --- but did catch your momentary attention.
Here's one I had made a note of sometime in my past and recently ran across again:
"Fame is fleeting but obscurity lasts forever." (Napoléon Bonaparte)
If you have one (or two) it's a free country so feel free to contribute it to this SDC portion of mankind.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. A fool and his gold are soon parted. It's better to give than receive. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Haste makes waste. If it looks to good to be true it probably is. A picture is worth a thousand words.

As I worked on projects which fulfilled a real human need, forces were working through me which amazed me. I would often go to sleep with an apparently insoluble problem. When I woke the answer was there. Why, then, should we who believe in Christ be so surprised at what God can do with a willing man in a laboratory? Some things must be baffling to the critic who has never been born again.
