But it is complete with the very rare disc brake option.

He does say 3 times in the ad "Make Offer". Sounds like he is motivated and will accept a more reasonable offer.

Well, it is the Sport model: it says so on the side.

For the right guy, this doesn't seem like that bad of a deal (especially since he's indicated there is wiggle room on price).

It's a freaken station wagon, otherwise known as a Conestoga.
Someone's covered/welded up the back windows. The actual "Studebaker" way of doing that was to add "snap in" panels over the side glass. These panels are somewhat expensive if you can find them...in good condition.
Then, probably that same person, added the front suspension off of what appears to be a mid to full size GM car. "Hopefully"... the new frame section was a measure twice (or three!), cut and weld once.
Actually, it's not a bad price considering the body "seems" to be in pretty decent condition. Hopefully the front end pieces are in similar condition.

I'm with Mike and Mike, if the parts are there or Hemet and in decent shape, that's not an unreasonable price for a vehicle you won't find next to you at about any car show. It has the potential to be one of the better looking panel delivery's out there.

If the work on the chassis was good quality, that would make a nice rod. Too much of a project for me though.

Of all the pictures, there is not one of the front end sheet metal. Does he have the dashboard? I've restored two pickups and put together a 60 Hawk but would not consider buying this car in its disassembled state. For anyone familiar with working on the 54 Champion, this may be a nice project.
