  • Northwest Chapter - Oregon - President's Day Tour - Updated with photos

Our chapter will be doing our annual President's Day Tour on IDYSD this year. We will be meeting up in Oregon City and then cruise to somewhere. This year the route and destination are a surprise. I will post more information and photos next week after the tour. We are hoping to find an unburnt part of Oregon.
    Cheers!

We had a lower turnout this year with 7 cars and one truck. Starting out from Oregon City we drove south to Canby and took the Canby Ferry across the Willamette River to West Lynn. The route took us through beautiful 2-lane roads bordered by luxurious homes on large acreage farms and ranches. Then back across the Willamette River via the old concrete bridge into Oregon City. We then drove North on 99E to Milwaukie where we had lunch at Libby's Cafe. You might note the group shot under the Lark Cafe sign in old West Lynn. We are looking for a Hawk Cafe for next time.
The weather had finally cooled down to the mid to upper 70s under sunny skies. We had a great time and met lots of people who were very intrigued and excited about our rides. We noted there were a number of other old vehicles out enjoying the weather on a Saturday morning and afternoon.
