  • DEEPNHOCK - Bath Day for 'The Black Car'

Almost ready to go to the track.
Took it off the lift and gave it a bath this morning.
Half a dozen nitnoid things to fix and it is off to school!

About 20 miles from the house..(That's the main reason I built it)...
But it has been closed for a while while they re-pave the shut down area.
My timing should be good.. This year is a wash anyways, so making it a prep year feels right...

        Jeff,
Are you going to drive it to the track seeing as it's only 20 miles? Probably not but cool food for thought. Looks terrific, have a great time. What is the name of the track?

No, it's not 'street legal' (but I did put in low and high beam headlights, turn signals, and running lights... So......You never know!)

          The track is at:

                Layer of crud black...yeah!
David Parris's brother painted the scoop, the trunk lid, and the rear bumper.
Everything else is the way it came..
But it is only a 5 footer paint job..

Car is loaded in the trailer and ready for test & tune at the track.
Track (closest to me) has been closed for re-paving. Owner says it will be open on the 29th.
So... Will be going there to try it out....
And the following day will be flying to Cleveland for the 2018 Engine Masters competition at JE Pistons
(Digger Dave is scheduled to run his Stude V8 Tuesday morning right after Jon Kaase...

Have been so busy in the shop that 'The Black Car' has been pushed back in the prioroty list... Bit I am itching to take it out.
Mostly going to be 'drivers ed' for me... Learn the car. Sort out the bugs.
