    • My dad bought several of his Studebakers from a dealer in Ilion, NY.

The destination from my car's Production Order sates delivery to a T. A. Burnett in Rapid City, SD. (I presume that was the dealership name).

          • Going thru my computer I found a few photos of a dealership out on Long Island. I do not remember which dealership it is, but here are two shots. We were on a cruise sponsored by the Long Island Chapter. The date in the computer says 2001.

              • Randy, I'm bidding on a 1960 Studebaker News that says it has a list of dealers, I'll contact you when I win it and get them to post it to you then you can post it down here to me.

Easier than trying to type them into the Computer.

                      • I took to the streets of Prescott, AZ. this morning to find the
location of Prescott Motor Company....while reading an article
of a former tenant of the building, the former Studebaker Garage
and dealership was right across the street from "Coyote Joe's" a
not so famous Prescott watering hole.... But unfortunately time
has taken its toll as now there is only a dirt lot and a historical
marker dedicated to the original 2 tenants. The Prescott Motor Co
was located on the corner of Goodwin and Montezuma Streets...across
the street from Courthouse Square and on "Whiskey Row"....as I was
taking these 2 photos, this morning...they were begining to take soil
samples and clean up the lot, of that, which was left behind...

                              • OK, I was done with work early today and decided to do some sleuthing . I went to the Hillsborough County Library today and started searching the phone books for the local areas around me for 1963. Why '63? I figuire when the South Bend assembly plant closed, many dealers abandoned the sinking ship. Anyway, I limited my self to Hillsborough County and neighboring Lakeland. I found four dealerships. They are;

                                Fellows Motor Company Inc.
                                813 Grand Central Ave.
                                Tampa, FL 33606

                                Stewart Jones Motors
                                925 5th Ave. N.
                                St. Petersburg, FL 33705

                                Clear Motors, Inc.
907 Cleveland St. (FL Hwy 60)
                                Clearwater, FL 33755

                                Randall Motor Company, Inc.
                                245 N. Tennessee Ave. <--------In 1963 & 1964
                                Lakeland, FL 33801
                                and
                                211 E. Bay St. <--------In 1960
                                Lakeland, FL 33801

The ironic part is that I don't know downtown Tampa that well, and I think I drove past the Fellows site on my way back from the library. There is a mixture of old and new so who knows if it's still there.

I believe both buildings used by Randall are still there, but I can't guarantee it. I think these will be road trip material to document what still exists.

                                ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                Tom - Valrico, FL

                                1964 Studebaker Daytona

                                Tom - Bradenton, FL

                                1964 Studebaker Daytona - 289 4V, 4-Speed (Cost To Date: $2514.10)
                                1964 Studebaker Commander - 170 1V, 3-Speed w/OD
