ID:	1755390 The car was found in Pleasant Grove Texas after sitting since 2006. The records, receipts, and documents were all in a binder. The previous owner was Van Holmes of Carrollton, treasurer of the North Texas Studebaker Club. The car was going thru a frame up restoration when it came to a halt in 06. For the last 11 years I have no idea what took place. I found it on Craigslist in Dallas and was the first guy to look at it. I have dreamed for years of owning a C or K and never thought I'd find one I could afford. I will be jumping into this in a couple months once the weather cools off. I need nearly all the chrome and the internal window mechanisms for both front doors. The motor was rebuilt as well as the transmission. All of the mechanics, brakes, king pins front end, rear springs, exhaust are done. I think I will have Larkworks fabricate a new wiring harness. I have it up and running off a bottle right now.

Nice find with that 1954 Commander Starlight.
I would ask/look for the chrome. It was probably with the car, stored somewhere or off to a plater.

Wow, Bryan; power steering on a '54; rare! Looks good so far. Best wishes with the completion. BP

Thanks Gary, of the chrome I have it is pitted badly, outside of the grille teeth w/blinkers that I have as NOS in Stude boxes. The guts for the door shells are missing, no guide tracks for the glass or regulators. All in all I'd say it is 95% all there.

What a cool project.. I think we still have one NOS grille surround, but I can't remember which side. I'm sure we've got most anything else you'd need.

Hey thank you Mark. I will, I am usually saving a car that is one step from the junkyard. This one is 90% done instead. Pat

Thank you. Yes not to bad to finish out. I maintain all of our cars and have owned multiple 4 dr. Continental convertibles and Ford retractables. Those babies can be beyond challenging. I enjoy these Studebakers to the moon and back for their straight forward simple construction. SOLD both Lincoln converts and the Tbird convert because I just plain wore out on them.
