I have a 6 cylinder with OHV on my '64. About every 1 to 1 1/2 minutes air bubbles form in the fuel bowl and shortly after gas leaks out from the bottom of the fuel pump. So far this leakage does not effect engine performance but the last time I had the car running the idle was on the rough side. Is it as simple as replacing the gasket above the fuel bowl or do I need to replace the fuel pump? If the fuel pump needs to be replaced any tricks of the trade to insure the pump arm is below the cam shaft/cam lobe?
