  • Body / Glass: Lowes "Peel & Seal"

I've read plenty of good reviews on this, when used in cars for sound deadening. I'm wondering if any one has used it in their C/K's, and if so, how extensive was it applied...inside doors, inside floors, inside roof, inside trunk, etc. How many 6" x 25' rolls were needed?

I used it on the floor of my Champ, 2 rolls. It took out some of the heat and "tingyness" that came though the floor, I may do the doors but I really don't mind the noise

Just wondering if you get a asphalt smell from it?I think it is a good idea.

It is butyl, not asphalt. It takes two layers to work well.

In the 60's I removed the seats and carpet from my 55 Chevy, then brushed tar on the floor, then layed two layers of tar paper down, then jute padding and new carpet.
That was the quietest car I had ever been in, and there was no smell from the tar.
