There are not many torque values published for cars as old as ours. But a tapered axle is a tapered axle and the number I have routinely heard is 170 ft-lbs. My torque wrench tops out at 150 so I just go to that then turn so the hole lines up. So far it seems OK. Axle and hub should be dry. Then you get the fun job of centering and adjusting those brakes.
