    60 Lark Convert mount ??

I'm working on a 60 Lark convert, a V8 car, my question is : are there supposed to be spacers under both of the transmission mounts or just the left side like on my old 62 GT Hawk? Thanks for your help see you in South Bend Lou Cote

What Jack said... The space was to "Tilt" the engine exhaust away from the steering box.. LHD, Left transmission mount.

I never knew the reason for the spacer. This is why I frequently check the forum.

The spacer is used because the entire engine/transmission assembly is offset to the right side on left hand control cars. Note that the proper pattern of two sets of holes on the front mount support - the set of holes that will offset to the right are used on LHC cars. More to do with steering box and linkage clearance.

The spacer under discussion is 532427 and is noted as 1/2" thick. I have used a stack of washers before if I didn't have the proper 1/2" thick spacer.
An obscure fact - '62 - '64 six cylinder convertibles (L body) only also used a right side spacer - 41X548, noted as 5/32" thick.

Thanks all, the car that I'm working on has one on each transmount. I'm about to remove the one on the right. Lou Cote
