50 Commander front seat same as 50 Land cruiser seat frame? Seat covers

First off Hello Folks it's been a while.

I'm wondering if the front seat for a 50 Commander is the same frame as a 50 Land cruiser? I want to install the "pull up" rope on the back of the front seat from a land cruiser in my Commander and i have the front seat for the commander. I just haven't stripped it clean as yet so I dont know if the mounting plates are on the seat frame in the commander seat. Also Ive got the rear seat back for the same car.

Who is a good source for getting covers for the seats? I just want fairly cheap to get around having to sit on springs poking parts you dont want poked.

    Edsel

Check out J.C. Whitney for seat covers. It may take some searching to get a set that looks old fashioned. I love the plaid seat covers from that era.

LeBaron Bonney has been a premier interior supplier for around 40 years or so. They started out with Ford interiors. I did not know they had Studebaker interiors now.
