2001 GM car won't start, temporary fix...

My wife's 2001 Malibu will crank but won't start!! I went through the 6 steps to reset the password code for the security system.. Took about 10-12 minutes.. If this ever happens on the road to my wife, I'll never see it again.. This is nonsense!! Of course, some of these have a recall on ignition switch's, but hey my Studie never left me strandied..

On the newer stuff if all else fails, disconnect the battery for five minutes, reconnect and try that.

Could always gut it and replace with the guts of a carbed vehicle...

I have found on these new vehicles, that "percussive maintenance" (whacking it like you used to have to whack the side of that old TV you had years ago to make the picture straighten up), is NOT effective. In fact, it can be downright expensive.
