    I'm sorry to report the passing of a North Star Chapter member Clyde Ketelsen. Clyde was very active in the club and he will be greatly missed. Here's a selfie he took at our Christmas party last year. The younger members of our club (those of us under the age of 85) all looked up to him.

    Age 98 of Col. Hts. Born in Los Angeles, CA. Passed away on Christmas Day. Preceded in death by wife, Genevieve (nee Pelarski); grandsons, Clyde and John; brothers, Herbert, Raymond and Richard. He is survived and deeply missed by his children, Clyde (Vonnie), Carol (John) Holland, William (LeAnne), Thomas (Rebecca), Deanna (Charles) Albrecht and Sharon; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; significant other, Helen Rusin; and many other relatives and friends. Clyde was a WWII Army veteran. He served in the European Theatre and was stationed in Great Britain, France, Belgium, Germany and Austria. He was awarded 3 Bronze Service Stars. Clyde retired after 20 years of service with UNISYS as a senior plant engineer. He worked 20 years in architectural design, project engineering and construction for housing developments, churches, nursing homes, apartment buildings and light industrial facilities in the Omaha, NE area. Clyde was a graduate of Omaha Central High School and the University of Nebraska, Omaha. He served one year with the CCC's, building the Skyline Drive near Ferron, UT. Clyde was an avid railroad enthusiast, photographer and restorer of antique Studebakers. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday 1/3/17, with visitation one hour prior at Immaculate Conception, 4030 Jackson St NE., Col. Hts. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
