Took a drive Sat to South Bend to visit the SNM. Wife and I were suitably impressed. Well worth a visit even id you are not a Stude fan. Had a leisurely drive across US 12, stopped on way home to visit friends, had a nice dinner, and returned home. Approx 350 miles. Have to admit though, we did not drive the Stude. Drove the Caddy, much more comfortable and we weren't going to a show. Maybe next time.

I REALLY need to get up there.

We toured it with a couple SDC'ers from Canada on the way to Dover. Also checked the ACD and truck museums in Auburn plus the Indy 500 museum... still got to Dover in time!

I don't know about which Car is more comfortable, it sounds like your Commander is updated almost as much as a Caddy! There can't be much Studebaker left except the "Look".

Major difference is road and wind noise. Stude has made about 6 round trips from MI to Daytona FL and at highway speeds it can get pretty annoying.
