  • interior door panels

I am in the process of doing the interior door panels on a 55 coupe. The stainless strips are nowhere to be found and I was wondering what anyone else used to replace these.

    Thanks, Lee

Anything you like, but it will be pretty hard to make it look correct without them, if that is the goal.

Since '55's are one of my least favorite, I have few Pics of them.

I have the originals but they are in bad shape . The material is inserted into the stainless strip which is then folded over and crimped. There is no way to separate the material to install new. I was just seeing if anyone else had used something else for these stainless strips. It does not have to look factory just decent .

        Thanks, Lee

I dropped off my door panels to Rene from Southeast Studebakers when I was at York and he mentioned he has a bunch of those strips for the '53 panels. Maybe he has what you need or can point you in the right direction.
