What is different in the finned 11" brake drums on the gt hawk front to rear? I have a set of front drums and they look to me to be the same as the rear other than the center hole is larger and maybe where the studs come though are larger. I have a complete set up for the fronts but if these drums could be used on the rear I will save them rather than try to sell them.

Drum brake V8 cars, used 10" rear drums. If you have 11" rear drums, they are for disc brake cars. They used non self energizing 11" drums.Bez Auto Alchemy

Yes bez I know the rears are a disc brake set up. The parts car that i got had 11" drums in the front and they look just like the 11" rears other than the center hole is bigger and looks like maybe the area around the studs. If they would fit in place of the rears I would keep them and just center them and drill and tap for a small countersunk head bolt to hold them there if I ever needed them.
