  • B97 R3 - Does anybody know the history of this motor ?

    Hi All,
B97 crossed my bows here in the UK the other day.

Was this a complete R3 or just an original block that has been made up ???

does anyone out there have any knowledge of this motor ?

    Regards
    Greg

Could be either way. My records jump from B95 to 2 B98's. I bought 2 B blocks from Joe G. one B48 and the other B112. Both were just bare blocks.

      Hi Alan,
thanks. My gut feel is that is was a loose blok and not a full crate motor looking at the parts on the motor. I should have some pictures from underneath the car next week to give me a better idea and to see the pan.
