i want to install a vacum gauge, the question im asking is ,would it be ok to cut into the vacum line to the vacum advance on distributor without causing any problems to the vacuum advance on dizzy its a 62 V8, thanks ray

Yes, you can draw from anywhere.
But if you cut into a line that feeds from something already, it's better to pick a port on the carburetor or manifold that has nothing already attached. If you have no open ports, yes, as long as both the original and the new opening are properly sealed and do not leak.
Just remember, you will get small fluctuations that would not occur if the gauge had its own source.

The stock V8 manifolds have an 1/8 pipe plug on the top of the manifold behind the carburetor on the drivers side. Pull out the plug and install a fitting to connect a vacuum line to the gauge. Bud
