  • Price: Ridiculous?

Did anyone else see the Champ truck on Hemmings for $59K? I know you can ask whatever you want for an old car, and you might even get it, but I think that it's bit, how shall I say it, steep?

One can always reduce the price, but it's rather hard to go up!.....conclusion....START HIGH!

You know what they say......."a fool and his money are soon parted". The owner/seller must be waiting for a fool to come along.

One big problem with installing new replacement floors (done nicely in this Champ), is the hinge post and body mount rust out. By the looks of this truck's pass. floor, I'd guess the hinge post to be very rotted and unstable. Maybe there is only a hunting dog up front with the current owner....but I'd wonder about door closure. The paint scheme is in a Sherwin Williams color called "Rust Cover" ! Sort of dovetails with my earlier thread on "driver prices" ..... Though well attempted.... I'd guess this truck's cab to fall off the frame in a few years or 5-8K miles on mixed roads.... Were there any Champ cabs @ Chuck Naugle's sale ??? Definitely the way to go here.

There are Champ trucks at Naugles not sure how many. I also have a 61 that does need a left floor replacement but it is not too bad. It has a HD Flightomatic and a 62 full flow Marshall engine. Been in Arizona all the time. Selling for the Marion estate. Runs but probably needs a flex plate replacement. Has a spare truck Flightomatic to go with it. $800.00. How is that for a price? Now if anyone wants to give me more, we can talk
