Needed. Installing a supercharger and need the factory gauges. I have no idea what these items are worth, or if they are readily available. Thanks!

There was one NOS gauge on eBay. May still be there.
Yep, still on eBay, S/P part number 1542823. It's a bit pricey but they are hard to find especially NOS.

The ONE thing you can count on, IF you find rare and desirable OEM Original, Studebaker/Stewart Warner Gauges, you ARE going to Pay big time.

I have one removed from a 43K mile '57 Golden Hawk. Two problems; 1) locating it and 2) pricing it.

That's the good thing about an eBay Auction, you start it at the lowest you would take, like $100.00, knowing full well that on a Desirable item it WILL be bid up to what people will Pay, whatever that is. :)

JLau (John): the truth be told, the SW Distributor Drive Tach. is not the best option in today's World.
There are much BETTER choices for new State of the Art Units that are self contained and will look "Similar", just not exact to the Originals.

Because of the unreliable, awkward 2 piece setup used in the day, most people opt for Newer Tachs. so they can make it actually Operate.

Yeah, 57Pack, I saw one for over $300 USED, and it was in an original box. Kind of a misleading deal, because at first I thought it was NOS. I wouldn't have paid that price for NOS. Maybe if I don't have any luck in the next week or two, my tolerance for higher-end pricing may drop a few notches (grin).

I sold a NOS gauge on ebay about 20 years ago. Think I got about $25. Shouldn't be worth too much more now.

Wow, had me fooled, I thought it was nos! Your right, it mislead me. Keep on looking and maybe Gary may find his.

I emailed mbstude, but I will pass along some info here for FYI. I located and bid on a vacuum gauge on ebay for $58. Not a bad price based on what I have read here. We'll see how that turns out. Thanks for all of the feedback! Finding a tach is going to be lot harder than the vacuum gauge; I haven't seen one anywhere.

Thanks to John, I discovered that the gauge we have is misidentified. It's actually 1539882. So if anyone needs a nice used vacuum gauge for a '56J, we've got that one.
